The Hidden Agenda
Certain Fundamentalist Christians support Israel uncritically only for one reason…they believe that their mission is:
It’s the dirty little secret that certain racists like Ann Coulter and others want to hide.
The Messiah – these people believe – will come down only when the Jews have accepted “Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour”.
Most Jews, including decent men like Gerald Caplan, Avrum Burg, Rick Salutin and many many others…have usually remained silent about this sort of extremist agenda, with respect to the “perfect the Jews” part.
That’s because those extremists are not yet a significant number.
Most of us know, however, that Harper counts on our general ignorance and laziness as his best allies. Therefore, it’s important for us to know and understand that this P.M.’s slavish and unquestioning support for every aspect of Israeli policy, has roots that go deep.
Much deeper than any of us can imagine.
His policies are unsavoury and his religious beliefs are repugnant.
We can only hope that we are now beginning to see the back of Stephen Harper…and that sooner rather than later…he and his minions will be just a bad memory.
Salutin’s column today is worth reading, because in a way, it’s a warning.
Ann Culter is a nut. She’s an example of a right wing nut and a dangerous nut at that. Is she a tea-bagger? And just what is that group?
Liberals and Conservatives, such as Bill Davis, are the only choice for the Canadian. Extremists, either far right or far left simply won’t do.
Do you remember Mike Harris? He is an example of a far right nut. And although a number of our far left wingers seem sexy, the fact of the matter is that many of them are nuts.
I don’t agree that any of our present leaders are “nuts”. I do, however believe that all of them are misguided and less-than-capable.
Having said that, I do think that Mike harris was a bit nutty.
